The Department of Diagnostic Oral Sciences is the largest scientific department in the Faculty of Dentistry. It includes four divisions: Dental Anatomy and Oral Histology, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and Oral Medicine. The divisions teach and train students on basic and clinical courses focusing on the diagnostic side of the patient, which enables students to acquire clinical skills and information in this field to practice in the dental profession. The department includes highly qualified faculty members who graduated from international universities, American and European, and who spend a lot of effort and time teaching students at different grades in the undergraduate program, postgraduate students, Saudi Board students and students enrolled in other programs. Faculty also conduct research in the various fields of basic oral sciences, using the latest international technologies. They also provide treatment of oral diseases in the specialty clinics in the Faculty of Dentistry. I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to all the employees of the department from professors, lecturers, demonstrators, administrators, technicians and assistants for their effective contribution to the development of the department.
